Common fish dominate the starter island pools and sell for minimal Cash. Uncommon fish appear once you reach SeaBreeze and provide slightly better returns. Sell Commons freely to fund your first boat and Crab Rod upgrade — hoarding low-tier fish wastes inventory space during early progression.

Quickbite buffs from active codes accelerate Common farming if you need fast Cash injection. These tiers exist primarily to teach fishing mechanics and fund the jump to mid-game islands.

Rare fish need mid-tier rods and Luck Buffs to catch consistently. They spawn across SeaBreeze, Deep Reef, and Cape Town depending on water depth. Epic spawns are island-specific — check individual map pages for zone details. Crab Rod handles Rare fish; Scorpio Rod recommended for Epic reel patterns.

Mutations during Midnight Mutation multiply Epic sell value by five to ten times. An Epic mutation session on Cape Town can outperform hours of normal Rare farming.

Legendary fish appear during Cosmic Blessing and deep-water sessions at Cape Town and Storm Harbor. Mythic tier sits above Legendary with spawns elevated during Leviathan Madness. Shark Rod minimum for Legendary; Mythic demands Shark Rod or Leviathan Rod for reliable reel completion.

Secret is the highest rarity tier in Fish And Monsters, reserved for the deepest zones at Abyss Gate. Secret fish require Leviathan Rod or Shark Rod with optimal buff setup. Spawn rates are extremely low outside of event windows — Cosmic Blessing and Leviathan Madness provide the best Secret hunting conditions.

Some Secret-tier fish appear exclusively in Sea Monster Raid loot tables. Collection completionists need both deep fishing and active raid participation.

Mutations do not change a fish base rarity tier — they create visual and economic variants within the same tier. A mutated Epic sells for five to ten times the normal Epic price but still counts as Epic in rarity classification. Mutations fill separate collection slots tracked independently from base catches.

Midnight Mutation is the primary mutation farming event. Overlapping with Cosmic Blessing creates the highest-value mutation opportunities on rare base fish.

Match your farming target to your current island and rod tier. Farm Common and Uncommon on starter island until Crab Rod is affordable. Farm Rare on SeaBreeze.
